Pianist An Ning is an internationally acclaimed artist and ed-ucator, recognized as a Steinway Artist and serving as an Associate Professor of Piano at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. He began his musical studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music under Olga Radosavljevich and Sergei Ba-bayan before continuing with Russell Sherman at the New England Conservatory of Music.
Mr. An's international career gained momentum after earning top prizes in prestigious competitions. These include first prizes at the Tivoli International Piano Competition and the William Kapell International Piano Competition, as well as notable placements in the Paloma O'Shea Santander International Piano Competition, the XIV International Chopin Piano Competition (where he received the Alfred Cortot Prize), and the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition. His success in these competitions established him as a prominent figure in the classical music world.
As a celebrated performer, Mr. An has graced iconic stages such as Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall, Salle Verdi in Milan, and the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. He has also appeared at leading festivals, including the International Chopin Festival in Duszniki, Poland, and collaborated with esteemed orchestras such as the London Symphony Orches-tra, Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Sympho-ny, and Warsaw Philharmonic. Working under conductors like Vladimir Fedosseyev and Rafael Fruhbeck de Burgos, his performances have been acclaimed for their virtuosity and depth.
In recent years, Mr. An has expanded his artistic reach across Asia, making solo debuts at the National Grand Theatre in Beijing and concert halls in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. His appearances with the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra have further solidified his international presence.
Beyond his performing career, Mr. An is a dedicated educa-tor, frequently conducting masterclasses across the United States and Asia. He has previously served on the piano faculty of Lee University and as an Associate Professor at California State University Fullerton, inspiring the next generation of pianists with his artistry and insight.

Dr. Nicholas Ong has been honoured with numerous international accolades, including the prestigious First Prize at the Yvonne Lefébure International Piano Competition in France and recognition as a finalist at the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition in Switzerland. His extraordinary talents have garnered acclaim from renowned publica-tions, with The New York Times commending his "firm rub-ber-ball touch and bounce," and Le Figaro acknowledging his "astonishing virtuosity."
With an impressive repertoire, Dr. Ong has graced the stages of esteemed concert halls worldwide, including Alice Tully Hall and Miller Theatre in New York, Salle Gaveau and Salle Cortot in Paris, Seoul Arts Center, and Tainan Cultural Centre. He has also been featured in prominent festivals such as the Castleton Festival, Focus! Festival, Chopin Festival in Paris, Festival de l'Orangerie, Jeunes Pianistes Virtu-oses in Lyon, "Piano en Saintonge" in Cognac, and the Villa Medicis Festival in Rome.
His exploration into contemporary music has led to captivating performances at the Soundbridge Contemporary Music Festival in Malaysia, China-ASEAN Contemporary Music Festival in Nanning, and the Third Practice Electroacoustic Music Festival at Richmond University, Virginia. Demonstrating versatility as a chamber musician, Dr. Ong has collaborated with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra musicians, participated in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts faculty chamber concerts, and engaged in concert tours with principals of major orchestras and young, talented musicians.
Dr. Ong earned his Doctorate in Piano Performance from the prestigious Juilliard School in New York. Prior to this, he pursued studies at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, supported by a French Government Scholarship, and obtained a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.
Currently, Dr. Nicholas Ong serves as the Head of Keyboard and Coordinator of Chamber Music at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore, contributing his wealth of expertise to the institution‘s musical endeavors.

As a popular and beloved violinist, Mr.Kong Zhaohui has been played in many concert halls around Asia, Europe, USA and Australia. He has been worked with orchestra such as Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Macao Orches-tra, Taiwan Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Symphony Orchestra,Taipei Chinese Orchestra, Queens land Youth Symphony Orchestra,Malaysia Youth orchestra, China Central Orchestra, China Philharmonic, China National Symphony Orchestra, China Ballet Orchestra, China Opera Orchestra, China Broadcast ing Orchestra, China Youth Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Gui Yang Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Chinese Orchestra, Presidential Symphony Orchestra of Turkey, Orchestre de Bretagne.
Started learning violin with his father from age of 5, Mr. Kong Zhaohui entered the Central conservatory of music at age of 11. When he was a student, he has played for legendary violinists Menuhin, Stern, Neaman and has received praises for his outstanding perfor-mances. Mr. Kong Zhaohui has won national violin competitions in China for many times. After he graduated from the Central conservatory of music, he was invited to teach in the conservatory and held the position of concertmaster of the Beijing Philharmonic chamber orchestra and guest concertmaster of China Broadcasting Orchestra.
When he was invited to play 'the butterfly lovers' concerto at the first Macao international music festival in 1987, his virtuosity was highly acclaimed by the local audiences and media. Since then he has been play the concerto for more than 100 times around the world and received countless good reviews. The Asia Week commented him as the expert of playing the butterfly lovers' concerto today. Currently, Mr.Kong Zhaohui held the position of associate concertmaster of Singapore symphony orchestra and the guest concert master of Shenzhen symphony orchestra.

Dr. Tan Wee Hsin
Acclaimed Violist and Educator

A recipient of the prestigious MOE-SSO scholarship from Singapore, Dr. Tan graduated with Highest Distinctions from the renowned Eastman School of Music, where he studied viola with George Taylor and conducting under Bradley Lubman. He earned his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Performance and Pedagogy from Northwestern University, while serving as a Teaching Assistant to Roland Vamos. Dr. Tan's Doctorate was completed and conferred in eighteen months, an achievement unprecedented in the history of the University.
Appointed to the viola section of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in 2001 by Music Director Lan Shui, Dr. Tan performed full time with the SSO until 2019. He has also performed and recorded with the Chicago Symphony, Rochester and Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestras under eminent conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Bernard Hait-ink, Valery Gergiev and Charles Dutoit among others. He is active in the Singapore music scene as a much sought after recitalist, chamber musician and guest principal violist with various groups. As a soloist, Dr. Tan has appeared with the SSO, Singapore Chamber Players and Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra. His chamber recitals include those with the Eastman Virtuosi and Grammy Award winning Ying Quartet in New York, a live broadcast performance over NHK Radio in Tokyo, Choir of King's College (Cambridge), SSO Chamber Series, Take 5 and PRISM at the 1st Singapore Chamber Music Festival. Wee-Hsin has also participated in numerous music festivals and exchanges such as ASEAN Youth Music Workshop, Asian Youth Orchestra, ASEAN-Japan Symphony Orchestra, Kumamoto Festival, Kent Blossom, Nice Academy, Heidelberg Festival and Indiana University Retreat for Violin and Viola Teachers.
In their dedication to the field of music education and out-reach, Dr. Tan and his wife, violinist Lillian Wang, are passionate about using music to benefit the community, bringing performances to charities and organizations such as the National Kidney Foundation, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore, and Children's Wishing Well. As Co-founder and Artistic Director of Pacifica Music Acade-my, Dr. Tan also continues to nurture young talents and foster a love for music education.

Dr. Jessica Chen Hsing An, a celebrated Taiwanese sopra-no, has built a distinguished career marked by academic excellence and artistic brilliance. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) degree in vocal performance from UCLA under the mentorship of the renowned Russian baritone Prof. Vladimir Chernov, supported by the Taiwan Ministry of Education and UCLA Teaching Assistantship Scholarships. She was also the First Prize winner of the 7th Asia Vocal Competition in Singapore and Malaysia International Vocal Competition, establishing her prominence in the classical music world.
Dr. Chen's career began as a mezzo-soprano, performing with the Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra and Taipei Symphony Orchestra in roles such as Carmen (Carmen), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), and Maddalena (Rigoletto). In 2000, she performed Janácek's Glagolitic Mass at the Taiwan National Day concert, further solidifying her reputation as a versatile artist. Transitioning to spinto and dramatic soprano roles, she captivated audiences with her portrayals of Turandot (Turandot), Aida (Aida), and Brünnhilde (Die Walküre). Her performances with the Malaysia Symphony Orchestra, Bangkok Opera Company, and at landmark events like Princess Galyani Vadhana' s birthday celebration and Malaysia's YTL Enterprise gala were met with critical acclaim.
Dr. Chen has also excelled in concert performances, showcasing her vocal prowess in works such as Beethoven' s Symphony No. 9 and Missa Solemnis, Verdi s Requiem, and Mahler's Resurrection Symphony. She has graced renowned venues, including the Esplanade in Singapore, Weiwuying Concert Hall in Taiwan, and the Annual International Chamber Music Festival in China. In 2021, she released her critically acclaimed album Epic!, featuring works by Wagner, Verdi, and Puccini, available on major streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
In addition to her illustrious performance career, Dr. Chen is a passionate educator. Since 2013, she has served as the Head of Vocal Studies at the School of Music, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singa-pore. She frequently conducts masterclasses and lectures at esteemed institutions such as the National Taiwan University of Arts and National Kaohsiung Normal University, inspiring the next generation of vocalists with her artistry and dedication.

Mrs. Rena Cheung Phua was born in Hong Kong, where she began her musical training under Professor Lam Hung Hee. She later pursued advanced studies at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto and the University of Toronto. Her postgraduate journey took her to the University of London in the UK and Paris, where she studied under the renowned pianist Monique Haas. She earned a Master's Degree from Griffith University, Australia, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Additionally, Mrs. Cheung Phua holds the Licentiate Diploma from the Royal Academy of Music, the Associate Diploma from the Royal College of Music, and received a Distinction in Piano Performance for her Licentiate Diploma from the Guildhall School of Music.
Mrs. Cheung Phua has served in key leadership roles, including the Advisory Committee for the National Piano & Violin Competition (2011-2017) and as Secretary/Treasurer and Committee Member of the Singapore Music Teachers Association (1984-2008). Since 2009, she has been the Vice President of the Chopin Society of Singapore.
At the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Mrs. Cheung Phua has held numerous significant positions: Member of the Scholarship & Financial Aid Panel (2007-2010, 2012-2017), Vice Dean of the Office of Academic Affairs (2006-2010), and Head of Keyboard Studies and Senior Lecturer in Piano Studies (2004-2015).
As a performer, Mrs. Cheung Phua has enjoyed an illustrious international career. She has performed extensively in Canada, the USA, Europe, Russia, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and other parts of Asia, collaborating with distinguished artists such as saxophonist Paul Brodie, cellist Igor Gavrysh, violist Yizhak Schotten, violinists Ricardo Ricci and Joaquin Palomares, soprano Nancy Yuen, and baritone Tian Hao Jiang. Her piano duo performances with Ong Lip Tat, Thomas Hecht, and Paul Liang, as well as her collaboration with Boris Kraljevic in Ho Chi Minh City, have received critical ac-claim. Notably, she performed Poulenc's Concerto for Two Pianos with Vanessa Latarche, Head of Piano at the Royal College of Music.
Her awards include the President's Award at the Kiwanis Music Festival (Toronto, 1974), First Prize in the Concerto Section at the Kiwanis Music Festival (Oshawa, 1973), and Best Pianist Award at the same festival.
Mrs. Cheung Phua is a sought-after masterclass instructor, frequently invited to prestigious institutions such as the Royal College of Music, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and conservatories in Medan, Beijing, Bangkok, and Moscow. She also adjudicates international music competitions in Belgrade, Indonesia, Canada, China, Spain, Moscow, and Singapore.
Since January 2019, Mrs. Cheung Phua has served as Director of the Music Programme at the Hong Kong Adventist College and as Adjunct Lecturer at both NAFA and the University of the Arts in Singapore.

Gu Zheng virtuoso Mrs. Yin Qun is a celebrated artist and educator, renowned for her exceptional artistry and contributions to Chinese traditional music. Her illustrious career began with top awards, including First Prize in the Shaanxi Province First Qin Zheng Competition (1986), Second Prize in the Guangdong Music Competition (1987), and First Prize in the China Mountain City Cup National Ethnic Instrumental Music Competition (1989). These accolades laid the foundation for her significant influence in the field.
As a performer, Mrs. Yin has captivated audiences with her expressive interpretations and innovative works. She held a landmark solo concert in Singapore in 1998, premiering original compositions such as Tide, Rural Rhythms, Children of the Mountain, and Imagining Huangling. Her performances at prestigious events, including the Taipei Arts Festival, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra's Zheng Ming concert, and the Xi an Gu Yue Music Concert, further solidified her status as a leading figure in Gu Zheng perfor-mance.
In 2021, during the pandemic, Mrs. Yin recorded and released 14 Gu Zheng pieces with support from the Singapore Arts Council, making them available globally on YouTube. Additionally, she has released several Gu Zheng CDs and authored influential educational materials, such as Youth Gu Zheng Tutorial, inspiring the next generation of musicians.
Mrs. Yin is also a respected leader in the arts community, serving as President of the Singapore Gu Zheng Society and as a board member of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra Association. Her dedication to promoting Chinese music and nurturing young talents has earned her recognition as a pillar of the Gu Zheng community in Singapore and beyond.
Mrs. Yin Qun
Acclaimed Gu Zheng Virtuoso

Mr. Zhu Lin started studying the Erhu at the age of five under Xu Bu Gao at the Nanjing School of Performing Arts. In 1981, he gained entry into the affiliated school of the Beijing China Conservatory of Music, where he studied under renowned musicians such as Li Da Zhong, Nie Jing Yu, and Liu Chang Fu.
Subsequently, Mr. Zhu continued his musical education at the China Conservatory of Music, furthering his studies with An Ru Li while simultaneously studying Cantonese music under Liu Ming Yuan.
In 1990, Mr. Zhu held his debut solo performance at the Beijing Concert Hall. This performance was recorded and broadcast on the China Central Television network. In 1991, he joined the China Central Chinese Orchestra and served as the orchestra's Deputy Concertmaster. Mr. Zhu went on to receive top honors in the National Competition in 1993 and the International Competition in 1995.
In 1997, Mr. Zhu joined the Singapore Chinese Or-chestra, where he currently serves as the Erhu lI Principal. He has released numerous solo recordings and has given premiere performances of many Erhu compositions.
In 2006, Mr. Zhu premiered L. Subra-maniam's "Double Concerto for Erhu and Violin" alongside India's renowned "Father of the Violin." Mr. Zhu has also been invited to give lectures at prestigious institutions such as the National Taiwan University of Arts, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and the China Conservatory of Music.
He currently serves as a guest professor at the China Conservatory of Music.

Mr. Tang embarked on his clarinet journey at the age of nine, marking the inception of a remarkable musical career. In 1983, he enrolled at the prestigious Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China, where he honed his skills and passion for the clarinet. Just two years later, his talent was recognized when he clinched Third Prize in the Beijing Youth Clarinet Competition.
Graduating with high honors, Mr. Tang secured a coveted position as the Principal Clarinettist with the Central Opera Theatre Symphony Orchestra.
His exceptional musical prowess continued to garner acclaim, leading him to Boston University in 1994, where he pursued an Artist Diploma under the tutelage of Dr. Ethan Sloane. Mdm. Wu Yili
First-generation Chinese Pianist
Wu Yili was a prominent member of the first generation of musicians after the founding of New China. She was recognized as a first-rate instrumentalist of the nation. Over the decades, she has been an accomplished concert pianist as well as an active music educator; she has taught numerous students in China, the United States and Singapore. After debuting with Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 in 1948 at the Shanghai Lyceum Theatre, accompanied by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Wu found fame in China. In 1955, Wu became the first solo pianist for the China National Symphony Orchestra after a year after joining, and was recognized as one of China's top pianists, frequently performing for foreign leaders visiting China and went on tours abroad. Wu was the first to make a piano arrangement of 1959’s Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto, with it being one of her most famous performances of her career. In Singapore, Wu released two highly acclaimed albums in 2008 and 2013, the latter winning the 2013 Top 10 Records award of Guangdong Musicians' Association. She also publicised the music of her native Guangdong province, including arranging Yule Shengping. Wu was honoured with the World Outstanding Chinese Artist Award in June 2017.

Mr. Lee Yuk Chuan
Well-known conductor in Singapore
Mr Lee is a well-known conductor in Singapore. He began conducting choirs and orchestras since the 1950s when he was in his early twenties. His talents and skills in conducting choir and composing music were enhanced with the acquisition of qualifications in violin, singing and music theory from the Royal College of Music. He aims to dedicate his work to promoting choir, orchestra performances as well as local song compositions. His remarkable achievements in these fields have earned him the top position in the Choral Association (Singapore) and Association of Composers (Singapore). He is also the President of Musicians Society of Singapore.
He was conferred the outstanding Public Service Medal (PBM) by the Singapore President in year 2001. In year 2002, he received the “Meritorious Award” by the Composers and Authors Society of Singapore Ltd (COMPASS) and in year 2012, COMPASS presented him the “COMPASS Lifetime Achievement Award” for his valuable continuous contributions to the music scene of Singapore.

Mr. Boris Kraljevic
Pianist
Boris Kraljevic completed his graduate and postgraduate studies (Master of Arts) at the State Conservatory Tchaikovsky in Moscow, Russia, in the class of Professor Lev Naumov. During his education he won the National Piano Competition in ex Yugoslavia three times and became laureate of international competitions.
He had performed recitals and concerts with distinguished artists and ensembles in prestigious concert halls such as Musikverein in Vienna, Concert Hall of Moscow Conservatory Tchaikovsky, Esplanade in Singapore, Palace of United Nations in Geneva, Cairo Opera House, Teatro Solis in Montevideo, Cultural Center of Buenos Aires, Rudolfinum Concert Hall - Dvorak Hall in Prague, Concert Hall of Slovak Philharmonic, Opera House in Ho Chi Minh City, Seoul Arts Center and KUMHO Concert Hall in capital of South Korea, as well in KIOI Concert Hall and Bunka Kaikan Hall in Tokyo.
Boris Kraljevic resides in Singapore where he is teaching since 2006. He is Artistic Director of the International Festival Dani muzike in Herceg Novi, Montenegro and Honorary member of Council of the International Seoul Summer Music Festival in South Korea. Under his guidance many students received accolades and became laureates of prestigious piano competitions such as "Gina Bachauer", "Eastman Young Artists Piano Competition", "Carl Czerny", "Smetana Piano Competition", "Concertino Praga", national piano competitions in countries of ex Yugoslavia, Singapore and other countries of Asia.
The Spanish label KNS Classical released two CD’s of Boris Kraljevic with recorded pieces of W.A.Mozart and Late Piano works of Johannes Brahms. He is professor in demand for master classes at music conservatories worldwide and often sits in the jury of international piano competitions.

Mr. Chua Lik Wuk
Violinist
Chua Lik Wuk made his solo debut with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra at the age of 16. In the same year, he was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music in London. His teachers included Hugh Bean, Rodney Friend, and Professor Karel Sneberger.
Among the numerous prizes Chua had won whilst at college were the WH Reed Prize and the Woltmann Award, the Marguerita and Peter Oundjian Prize (for Violin and Piano Duo), and the Percy and Dorothy Coates Prize (for Piano Trio). He was also the winner of the Overseas Prize in the Royal Overseas-League Music Competition.
Chua was the concertmaster of three of the four orchestras in college. In 1985, he performed at the Orford Music Festival in Montreal, Canada, and also represented Singapore at the World Philharmonic Orchestra’s debut performance in Sweden. In 1984, he was accorded a distinction for being the first and only Singaporean to perform for Queen Elizabeth II on Commonwealth Observance Day. Chua graduated with a Class I Award in the Performer’s Course, and his outstanding results won him another ABRSM scholarship for the prestigious postgraduate course where he graduated with the ARCM (Honours) in Performing and Teaching.
Upon returning to Singapore in 1987, Chua joined the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, and also appeared as a soloist with the SSO on numerous occasions. His quartet, formed in 1989, has played to critical acclaim, both locally, as well as in Japan in 1989, and Indonesia in 1990.
In 1992, Chua went to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA, to study with the world-renowned American violinist Charles Treger. He taught in his capacity as Professor Treger’s studio assistant, and was active as a soloist and recitalist. He also led the Symphony Orchestra, Graduate String Quartet and ‘Opus One’ String Ensemble. In 1994, he was conferred the Master of Music Degree.
In 1996, Chua founded PRISM Chamber Concerts, in an effort to promote chamber music to local audiences. In that same year, he was invited by the Britten-Pears Foundation to give a recital and conduct master classes in Yangon, Myanmar. In 1998, Chua was appointed Assistant Leader of the SSO, a position he held until 2000. He was also the recipient of the National Arts Council’s Young Artist Award in 1999.
From 2007 to 2009, Chua collaborated with pianist Lim Yan in a series of recitals at the Esplanade Recital Studio which received high acclaim from both critics and audiences. Off the concert stage, he devotes much of his energy to teaching, and continues to maintain his own private studio.

Recognized for his versatility, pianist Shuenda Wong has performed in solo recitals, as concerto soloist, chamber musician, accompanist and orchestra pianist. He obtained masters and bachelor degrees from UK and Germany (full scholarship at Guildhall School of Music, high distinction at Staatliche Hochschule Freiburg) and won many awards such as the Kobler Trust award,Barbara Stringer Scholarship ,HSBC Classics Bursary and HSBC Piano Competition , the MYOF Scholarship and Patron Award, Raymond Fox Bursary from Making Music Association UK. He was prize winner in International Piano competitions in UK (Oxford Music Festival, Royal Overseas League, Haverhill Sinfonia), France (Lagny Sur Marne), Germany (Arthur Lepthien), Netherlands(Enschede) and Thailand (Mahidol International), he was also nominated for the Malaysian BOH Cameronian Arts Award, Kenneth Loveland Award, UK and Prestige Magazine Top 40 Young Talents Award.
Notable performances include concerts at the Kaisersaal Freiburg, Elzacher Stadthalle in Germany, Salle Ravel Paris,France,Bunkamura Hall and Miyagi Museum of Art in Japan, Kasteel Terworm in Holland,Hong Kong City Hall, collaborations with the MPO and Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra,the opening of the British Commonwealth Games, the Asian Pacific Cooperation Meeting and The Philippines Centennial Independence in Manila, recitals for the Brunei Music Society, Cambodia Music Society, Shanghai University of Commerce and Nanjing Conservatory of Arts,China. In the UK, he has performed in Purcell Room Southbank Centre, St Martin-in-the-fields, St James Piccadilly, the Barbican Hall London, ROSL House Edinburg, Princess Alexandra Hall London, and Erin Arts Centre Isle of Man amongst other venues.
Shuenda is also a dedicated music educator.He was adjunct lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia,Trinity College London presenter,Head of Piano at Bentley Music Academy and currently Master Tutor at British Academy of Performing Arts. His students have won International Piano Competitions in Austria,Germany, UK (Royal Albert Hall debut),USA (with Carnegie Hall Debut),Korea, Taiwan , Hong Kong ,China, Singapore, Thailand; also prizes in national piano competitions and high scorers awards of Trinity College London Diploma exams. He has adjudicated in countless music competitions and festivals around Asia.
