Requirements

The content of all entries should be positive and aims at promoting Chinese culture and intellectual exchange between Chinese culture and Southeast Asian culture and arts, as well as international arts.

Competition Regulations and Remarks

  • All registered contestants must accept the rules and regulations of the competition and abide by all forms, terms and conditions of the event and all instructions and requirements of the Organising Committee (whether verbal or written) throughout the competition, including: the appearance, outfit, and decoration. The Organising Committee reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who does not comply with these conditions.

  • All contestants must obey and comply with all relevant laws, rules, regulations, and all matters required by any relevant authorities during the competition. In the event of any losses incurred by the organisers as a result of any breach of law by the contestants, the contestants must assume all responsibility and pay compensation.

  • Registration fee is strictly non-refundable for any reason unless cancelation of the competition.

  • Contestants will be required to show valid identification when attending the competition.

  • Basic sound equipment will be provided on site, no earphones or chest mics will be provided.

  • Contestants must bear the cost of any costumes/styling, make-up, music and props.

  • Only piano will be provided. Contestants will need to prepare their own instruments and props if needed.

  • No large or heavy props, sets, special lighting or any special technical choreography will be allowed during the competition. The Organising Committee will arrange for the technical coordination of the choreography. Any special requirements for the presentation of musical artworks and the arrangement of props must be indicated in advance on the entry form and will be dealt with at the discretion of the organising authority.

  • The Organising Committee may decide not to award a prize if, in its opinion, no contestant has reached the appropriate standard.

  • In accordance with the Organising Committee's requirements and out of respect for the arts, all contestants are requested to wear formal dress to the event, otherwise they will not be allowed to participate.

  • Candidates awarded at the competition pledge themselves to use the title conferred by judges in the future. Any abuse will be prosecuted by law.

  • All musical artworks and accompanying music used in the competition should ensure that there are no copyright disputes and that the rights of audio-visual production and broadcast distribution of the competition belong to the Organising Committee. The Organising Committee will not be responsible for any remuneration or copyright issues.

  • The use of photographs, video, audio, awards and all other materials related to the competition must be authorised by the Organising Committee and any unauthorised misuse of these materials will result in legal consequences.

  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to make final interpretations of these rules and regulations.
