Festival Outline

Individual Category - Solo Competition

The Solo Competition consists of two rounds: the preliminary round and the final round.

  • The registration fee for the preliminary round is SGD 60.

 

Online Video Selection

  • Participants can submit their completed competition pieces or segments of pieces for online video selection for the preliminary round.

  • Participants need to provide the competition video URL to the organizing committee during registration. Participants are responsible for ensuring a high-resolution video for submission and uploading them correctly to an online video platform for judges' evaluation. No modifications or edits to the video and audio are allowed.

  • The performance pieces in the submitted video must not be edited, and the submitted video should be recorded within 6 months prior to the registration deadline.

  • Before starting the recording, please tune your instrument. The tuning process does not need to be shown in the video.

  • Specifications for the video submission are as follows:

      Layout: Landscape Mode

      Quality: 1920 X 1080 HD

      Audio: Source from video camera or DSLR is recommended

 

  • The video link submission should include the participant's name, category, and piece information.

  • Participants who pass the preliminary round will receive the final round invitation letter within 1 week. Participants must complete the final round registration as required by the organizing committee; otherwise, their eligibility to participate will be revoked.

Gold Lion Cup Competition - Final Round

  • Participants have two options: they can choose to participate in the live competition or submit a video.

       Live Competition

  • The live competition in Singapore will be held at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, on February 17-18, 2024. The details of the competition schedule will be communicated to participants via email by January 20, 2024.

      Online Video Competition

  • For participants unable to attend the live competition, there is an option to participate in the online video selection. Participants need to provide the competition video URL to the organizing committee during registration. Participants are responsible for ensuring a high-resolution video for submission and uploading them correctly to an online video platform for judges' evaluation. No modifications or edits to the video and audio are allowed.

  • Judges will evaluate the videos based on the same criteria as the live competition. Participants must submit their competition videos by February 10, 2024. The results for all participants will be announced during the closing ceremony concert on February 18. Trophies and certificates will be awarded to all winning individuals and groups.
